Quiet Time
February is best known for it's famous holiday, Valentine's Day. But did you know that February also has a day devoted to slowing things down by getting quiet?
Yep, February 25th is National Quiet Day. A whole day that invites us to stop and listen, to retreat from the noise of everyday hustle and bustle.
Here are a few easy ideas on how to carve out some quiet time for yourself - every day!
Do some reflective reading. Why not reflect on the value of nurturing quiet in our society with Susan Cain's Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking.
Get creative. Try coloring a mandala, molding something out of clay, or putting together a collage.
Build a puzzle.
Go see an art exhibit.
Take a bath.

Who knows, you may enjoy quiet time so much that you will want to incorporate stress reduction into your daily life with regular and consistent quiet time periods. Just 15 minute breaks built into your day will help quiet your mind, rest your body and restore your energy.
