Soul Medicine...
Take time to appreciate the warmer temps and slow awakening of Spring in this upcoming week - let the warmth nourish your soul.
Ritu Kaushal (writer, classical dancer, emerging photographer, free spirit, gypsy, and a lover of music) writes about introverts and Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) in her blog . As a fellow introvert and HSP, I found her article on embracing your introverted nature, instead of fighting it, very helpful and valuable.
Last year I had the great fortune of coming across the Images of Nature Gallery while visiting the beautiful town of Galena, IL. There I was introduced to the amazing nature photography of Thomas D. Mangelsen and I was truly inspired! His beautiful images capture the common bond between the animal world and the human world and a visit to any of his galleries result in a journey into the most peaceful, wondrous and awe-inspiring settings in the world. Tom's accolades and critical acclaim range from being named BBC's "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" in 1994 and the North American Nature Photographer's "Outstanding Nature Photographer of the Year" in 2000, to the recipient of a Royal Photographic Society Honorary Fellowship in 2002. In 2005, he was named "One of the 100 Most Important People in Photography" by American Photo magazine, one of only two wildlife-environmental photographers selected for the list. Tom shares that, "What you see in my pictures is what I care about - the natural world, the animals with whom we share this planet. I am interested in bringing that experience into people's homes, into their personal spaces, to remind them what we have to protect and care about."
Helpful tips, inspired by different teachers, times, and traditions, that remind us of the potential for peace within every waking moment.
